U-32 SCHOOL DISTRICT. A meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 (6:00 PM, Room 131) to provide information on the articles to be voted by Australian ballot at Town Meeting.

ELECTION YEAR 2004 - A note from the Town Clerk Our ballot booths will certainly get a work out this year, starting with Town Meeting Day on March 2, 2004.
For every election, if you are unable to get to the polls on the scheduled day, you should request an absentee ballot, or even come on in the office and vote early. Even if it’s just a matter of “I don’t feel like going down there”, request an absentee ballot.
For Town Meeting, we anticipate getting ballots out by Feb. 11, 2004 (the State deadline for town clerks to have all ballots back from the printer). We have all materials needed except for the U32 ballot. As soon as that arrives, the requested absentee ballots will be mailed.
The Town Report is going to the printer this week. We anticipate getting it back and getting it into the mail by the week of the 16th. If at the end of that week, you have not received your town report, give us a call at the office.

Would you like to help add sparkle to the Middlesex Town Hall before Town Meeting Day? With a big group, just an hour with a vacuum or mop will do wonders. Join us on Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. (Note: date has been changed and is not February 11 as previously mentioned in Middlesex Monthly.) Any cleaning supplies you may have on hand would be appreciated. Kids are welcome, and cookies will be provided afterwards for all do-gooders!
The Town Meeting Solutions Committee is organizing neighborhood pre-meetings to talk with neighbors about what town meeting is and why their participation is important. Would you like to host or attend an informal living room meeting? Please contact Susan Clark at 223-5824.
