Septic Regulations
Middlesex is affected by state law. A state law passed in 2002 changes the way onsite sewage is regulated. New subdivisions and systems under repair will now have to meet state standards for the design of an on-site septic system. Most existing lots and all new lots will have to follow state standards for design, siting and construction of systems as of 2002.
