Minutes of the April 10, 2007 Middlesex Select Board Meeting
Present: Walter Kelley, Bill Callnan, Cindy Carlson, Peter Hood, Mary Alexander, Mary Skinner
Meeting called to order at 6:35 pm.
Other Business
Motion: Mary Just Skinner moves to accept a request from App Gap to use the town roads for the Green Mountain Stage Race on 9/2/07. Mary Alexander seconds, motion carries.
A letter from Jeffrey Doris asking if improvements can be made to Molly Supple Hill Road and if it is a candidate for paving. This will be referred to Gary Lamell, Road Commissioner.
Notice from FEMA stating that the flood map has been revised for the area near the Moretown Bridge.
Eric Seidel submitted a letter of interest for the Ancient Road Research Project.
Motion: Bill moves to approve The Vermont State Police Traffic Control and Security Services Contract for the period 7/1/07 – 6/30/08. Mary Alexander seconds, motion carries.
Motion: Mary Alexander moves to accept the Annual Financial Plan for Town Highways TA-60. Bill seconds, motion carries.
Motion: Mary Alexander moves to accept the overweight permits for: Scott Brown, Dennis Demers Trucking, Huntington Homes, Newton Construction LLC, Green Mountain Heritage, Inc., Jack Corse, Inc., Jerry Haskins Sr., Black Rock Coal, Inc. Bill seconds, motion carries.
Ron Morrissette, Town Constable The Junk Ordinance was discussed, Ron will start issuing tickets for those that have been notified and have not cleaned up their property. Ron will contact those that had received letters in the past and report back to the Board. The Board discusses a letter submitted by neighbors of Arthur Shatney and Laurie Garrett concerning a possible violation of the Junk Ordinance. Ron will investigate and report to the Board.
