Minutes of the Middlesex Selectboard meeting of
February 2, 2006

Present: Peter Hood, Walter Kelley, Mary Just Skinner, Cindy Carlson

Meeting called to order at 5:15 pm

The Board discusses the question of elected or appointed Cemetery Commissioners. It was confirmed with the League of Cities and Towns that the Commissioners are responsible for endowments, income from lots, perpetual care and cemetery town funds in addition to maintaining the cemeteries owned by the town. 

It was decided not to place the question on the Town Meeting Warning for 2006 if the Cemetery Commissioners should be appointed by the Board instead of voted on by the town. 

Motion: Mary Just Skinner moves to accept the Town Warning as presented. Walter seconds, motion carries.

Meeting adjourns at 5:30 pm.
