Town-Owned Land
The Town owns a small undeveloped parcel along the Winooski River. The town also owns a small property in the Village behind the firehouse.
Related Organizations
The Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission is a consortium of 23 central Vermont towns and cities, including Middlesex. CVRPC provides a forum for municipalities to work together on regional issues. It also offers member communities professional assistance with local planning, including providing GIS maps. The Winooski Natural Resource Conservation District is a non-profit organization providing landowners in Washington and Chittenden Counties with technical, educational and financial assistance in conservation of natural resources. Their Backyard Forest Stewardship program offers assistance for landowners owning up to 25 acres; and they run the Envirothon education program for high school students.
