Emergency Management

The Selectboard appoints an Emergency Management Chairperson, who coordinates town efforts with the Vermont Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Management Division and works with local and district emergency personnel, is a part of the state’s emergency management effort. This person is responsible for the local organization formed for management in case of such emergencies as flood, drought, and accidents involving hazardous materials. (See Contacts)
